my work world wide by internet.

About some arts and Indian Painters :

Paintings are one of the oldest art forms -- throughout history artists have played an important role in documenting social movements, spiritual beliefs and general life and culture.

Painting is the practice of applying color to a surface (support) such as, e.g. paper, canvas, wood, glass, lacquer or concrete. However, when used in an artistic sense, the term "painting" means the use of this activity in combination with drawing, composition and other aesthetic considerations in order to manifest the expressive and conceptual intention of the practitioner.

Painting is used as a mode of representing, documenting and expressing all the varied intents and subjects that are as numerous as there are practitioners of the craft. Paintings can be naturalistic and representational (as in a still life or landscape painting), photographic, abstract, be loaded with narrative content, symbolism, emotion or be political in nature. A large portion of the history of painting is dominated by spiritual motifs and ideas.

Unlike dance and music where the most charming modes and sweetest strains disappear before they are understood, painting captures the emotions and expressions and retains the impact for a long period. Painting is essentially a combination of lines, forms, colors, tones, texture and space. It attempts to convey the spoken and unspoken expressions with the strokes of a brush.

Contemporary Indian Artists paint India in many hues –furious, bold and rapturous at one end, soft and magical at the other. Modern India is a kaleidoscope of colors, painters display those very colors that make India the country that it is, most vividly. Imageries are literal and the themes forceful and relevant. No wonder that today Indian artists are much respected and revered.

These capable artists use techniques from all over the world to convey Indian experiences and sensibilities. The most admirable quality of these artists is that they show a keen awareness of the conditions around them while not forgetting their legacy. They are socially conscious, responsible proponents of ideas and not just pretty pictures. If one has to choose a single word to describe Contemporary Indian Artists it has to be amazing.
